Information for speakers

Please bring your presentation on a USB stick to the meeting room, you will present in, at least 2 hours before the session starts. A technician will assist you in uploading the presentation. The format of presentations should be 16:9 in Microsoft PowerPoint. Personal laptops cannot be used for presentations. At the end of the conference, all presentations will be deleted to prevent any copyright issues from arising.

Poster Instructions
All poster presenters will receive a personal email with their poster number and information about which poster session their poster presentation is scheduled for.

  • All posters should include title, name of authors, institution, city and country. The lettering of the title should be a least 25 mm high and the main text at least 10 mm high.
  • The poster should be easily readable from a distance of 2 meters.
  • The language of the poster should be English.
  • The measurement of your poster should be approximately A0 Portrait, (maximum 84.1 cm wide x 118.9 cm high – 33.1 in. wide and 46.8 in. high).
  • Please bring your poster to the Conference yourself.
  • The Conference Secretariat will provide equipment for setting up the posters on the boards.
  • The Conference Secretariat does not take responsibility for left or damaged posters.

Abstract submission

The abstract submission is now closed. Thank you to everyone who has submitted an abstract/abstracts.

Abstracts are required for all oral presentations and posters.

Abstracts had to be submitted before 5 April 2024 (23:59 CET) and the abstract submission is therefore closed.

Accepted abstracts will be published on the first day of the conference in a publicly available deliverable of the ECIS 2024 Conference.

It is the responsibility of all authors that all studies are performed with respect to national legislation, international legislation and ethical guidelines both with regards to humans and animals.

It is the responsibility of the authors that the author list is correct: all authors must qualify as authors and agree on the contents of the abstract.

It is the responsibility of the authors that the abstract is written in correct and clear English language. Language used should be inclusive and take into consideration the wide audience of the ECIS 2024.

The presenting author must register as an active participant at the conference at the latest 14 days after acceptance of an abstract.

The ECIS 2024 Conference Secretariat reserves the right to exclude any abstract that is not followed by a participant registration at the latest 14 days after notification of acceptance.

The abstract word limit is max. 250 words per abstract (main text, excluding title, author names and affiliations, as well as funding information and references, if any).

Please download and use the template in the abstract submission system.

The title should be as brief as possible but long enough to clearly indicate the nature of the study. You will be asked to enter the title in the abstract system, and you should therefore NOT include it in your abstract document.

Please do not include any author names and institutions in the abstract document. You will be asked to enter the name(s) of author(s) and their institution(s), when you submit your abstract online. Please check that your email address (submitter and presenting author) is correct as it will be used for contacting you after the review process. 

All abbreviations must be defined in first use.

Max. 10 references or website-links may be listed at the end of the abstract, if applicable.

Funding acknowledgement should be included at the end of the abstract, if applicable.

The Scientific Committee will review and evaluate the abstracts.

Notification of acceptance or rejection of the abstract will be sent to all authors by 16 May 2024.

For accepted abstracts, the Scientific Committee will decide the type of the presentation, taking into account the preferred presentation type chosen by the abstract submitter.
